The origins of B2B
In 1995, Stan and Susan Feldman met Larry Saltsman and Michelle Lavine on a bike trip through the French countryside. After their return to Canada, they decided to ride together again – but this time, they would do it to raise funds for an organization they love: Baycrest. Over a two-day period, they rode 250 kilometres from Bala to Toronto and raised $5,000. The Bike for Baycrest idea took off, and they enlisted Jonathan Feldman to be a founding member of the Barrie to Baycrest organizers’ group. In 1996 riders raised about $45,000.
Over the years B2B Ride has grown, and hundreds of participants have raised more than $11.5 million!
About Stan’s Club
Lead the way! Members of Stan’s Club – first created for the 18th B2B Chair in 2013 to honour B2B founder Stan Feldman – pledge to raise or donate a minimum of $10,000 to support the work of Baycrest in the fields of Brain Health and seniors’ fitness. This year Stan’s Club members are building a state of the art custom gym in the new Kimel Family Centre for Brain Health and Wellness! It will be named “Stan’s Gym” in honour of the B2B Founder, Stan Feldman! Stan’s Gym is seeking to raise $1 million and is being spearheaded by a special committee and B2B Stan’s Club Members! The B2B committee and founding Stan’s Club members are asking you to join Stan’s Club. Never has this cause been more critical and timely for our community. Baycrest and Stan’s Club members lead the charge to support brain health and seniors’ fitness into the next 100 years. Help Build Stan’s Gym!
