Below are the four first steps you should be taking to race towards your fundraising goal!

Secure Your First Donation Today
Ask for your first donation today! Think of the people you can ask who won’t say no like your family, friends, co-workers! Get that first donation to start momentum. You can even donate to yourself! The sooner you get started, the easier it will be to reach beyond your fundraising goal.

Email Everyone
Through your Participant Centre, you can easily forward emails to all of your contacts! You will find emails already written for you to send as follow ups and thank-yous.
Even better, personalize an email with the story about why you are committed to Barrie 2 Baycrest. Inspire your donors to support you!
Follow up with a phone call to everyone you emailed after a week to secure a donation if they haven’t already donated online.

Spread the word
Use your social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to tell people about your incredible fundraising efforts with a link to your donation page.

Speak to your employer
Don’t be shy – ask your colleagues and business contacts to support you in your fundraising efforts.
Don’t forget to find out whether your company offers a corporate matching gift program, which can double your fundraising quickly!
